Quick note: Pirates of the Burning Sea is apparently in open beta. I've managed to grab a key off the eurogamers giveaway.
As usual, Fileplanet is being very markety about its subscription plans. "No, you cannot download the full client in one part unless you have a subscription." "No, you cannot have a key from us unless you have a..." blah blah.
Still, it appears they -have- finally allowed the free fileplanet account holders to download the client in 3 parts. 3 public queues to get fed up about so that more people are tempted to subscribe to them. Har. I'll just wait. Patiently.
Another Pirate game I'm half tempted to try. Disney's Pirates of the Carribean Online. I mean, how much worse can it be? Quite a number of people are deriding PoTBS, but I'm not sure if it's because they're just WoW fanboi lackeys who have no taste or if there's really something wrong with the game.
At least Pirates of the Carribean Online is free. Heh.
