Sssss. Woot! I thought it was a while since I checked the NS website. So I checked it today. To my immense satisfaction, they have finished one of the biggest patch/updates of all, and NS is now officially 3.0.
Much cool. I can't wait to get home to download it and test it out.
Apparently in about 4-6 weeks time (read in NS dev time, which closely resembles RoD imm time, perhaps 2-3 months), the big unannounced system is going to come into play as well. Whatever it is.
So...since you're looking for a break from CoH anyway, Keli, why don't you pick up Steam/HL2 from the website and try NS out?
Yes, unfortunately you will need to purchase some variant of HL.
I recommend HL2 as you'll get a very pretty-looking singleplayer game (even with a crappy graphics card, I did mention their scaling ability was magnificient, right?) and all the older HL games, as well as future HL2 mod potential.
If not, I think they sell the old HL in stores for 20 bucks or likely less these days. Still get all the older HL mod potential.
*cackles* Now I cannot wait. I must get back into the swing of playing some NS again.
Rrrrr...THIS IS MY HIVE. THERE ARE MANY LIKE IT, BUT THIS ONE IS MINE!
