ATITD Diary - Day 4

T6 Week 2 Day ?

After the first two days of push, I've had to ease off and leave about 16h gap in between logging in. Work, commute time and sleep. Leaves only about 4-6 hours of play if I go to bed by 2am.

Today I took it relatively easy, yet productive.

Sheep needed onions, bad, so that was first on agenda.

Also sharpened 100 sticks for controlled burn research (we are nowhere near first or fastest, more like fourth, and I don't know when people might give up, but we'll see, I've half a mind to work slowly and steadily on it as a goal over the long term, even if others have reinvented the wheel elsewhere. Omly showstopper is some things are truly horrible to accumulate, so it defeats the purpose of unlocking in four places at once. Once chariots get built, it will be easier to get to the other Universities.)

Found an excellent wood spot. It gives 50 wood per round turn. Problem is, I have not been able to get a macro working for it. So I did it manually.

The nice thing about being in a quiet region, it feels like Bastet in terms of competition for resources. Ie. None at all. I'm a little scared that people may move off or quit and leave me alone out here, but I guess I am ok being a hermit, as long as some other people in the game elsewhere.

The thing is, I find part of the fun of ATITD is doing nice things for other people. I spent an hour and a half gathering about 1500 wood to donate to controlled burn, which was at 4000/8000 wood. A balance is important though. After the third trip to uBody (each time one can carry only 497 wood), I started feeling antsy and decided not to take the other 1000 wood over. Brought it home instead, will need it for boards and charcoal eventually.

Did sheep hauling and sheep culling. A guy called Kubilai has devoted himself to building an awesome public works facility. He asked for donations of leather for a mason's bench and said he needed 20 (12 were pledged.) Since he was not online, I sent him a chat earlier to say that I had 10 more spare leather to pass to him. 8 hours later, he hadn't logged in yet, different timezones. Got enough leather so I went ahead and made the mason's bench he had set up. Should be a nice surprise when he logs in.

Discovery-wise, have found 6 and 7 onion spots. Should make growing slightly easier in the future.

Productive day all things considered.
