DMing in an MMO

Finally managed to do a "dungeon-mastering" session with my RP-supergroup. Somehow everything is now anti-climatic and I'm in a funk.

There was a lot of work put in collecting bank missions on an alt, finding a coherent plot, writing an Mission Architect mission, getting people to know of a time, then hitting another event that day and moving it, and then trying to get people to even join the team...

Then frantic switching of alts trying to squeeze my way back into a full-server Virtue, sending tells to each member feeding them clues and instructions to act, and on top of it being an active member of the team fighting mobs.

Then everything was over. Delete useless alt. Delete Mission Architect mission. Clear the contacts of the bank missions.

Then throw a minor (secret) tantrum that only four people turned up and one left early.

Mope around, stay quiet on the Sg channel because I'm feel completely drained emotionally.

Then start thinking if I want to run another session, and what the story is going to be...

Sounds interesting, hope they appreciated the effort and enjoyed it. Player-run events (mini or otherwise) are not easy to organize in an MMO!

Any interest in trying Minecraft Alpha? I think it might be possible to bootleg a copy for offline play. Catch you on Steam whenever.
