MARS! MARS! WHEEHEHEHEEEEEE!

Sorry, I know this is completely off topic.

Look at my Mars. It's a test render of course...and some of my frames look so awful, like squashed tomatoes...Trying to compile a movie here but...

Here's a frame

Heh. You shouldn't have mentioned squashed tomato, now it puts images in my eyes where there weren't any before. :P

Compile a movie for?

Heh...I have a camera distortion problem.
Just a warning, it's 14M.

www.gps.caltech.edu/~sigma/test.mng

This is with 80deg camera view, and the thing is still getting squashed...The real camera is 150deg, and ...well...it just looks awful like that.

It's in MNG format, since PNG is free, which was what I saved my frames into (1440 frames:p), and the ImageMagick on this machine won't convert to .MPG or .AVI for some reason.

What's being shown here is a satellite rotating around Mars. It points towards Earth so the camera is looking 180deg from Earth. Sometimes it sees mars. Pfft, it's what I've been working on for the last few months. Satellite and all that stuff.

Very cool. Is Mars really that red as seen by the naked eye/camera?

No:P

I used photoshop (or the Linux version, Gimp) to make it red. *innocent look*
