Rating: ***** (Highly recommended)
TLDR: Good plot, plot twist, apt custom mobs, thought-provoking, creepy; 3rd mission a bit lengthy, can be obscure
Subjective Play Experience:
This arc is very worth trying, even if you don't plan on going for the solution prize. Since giving away spoilers is a no-no, I will just describe my impressions.
Although there is no explanation of what is happening, it isn't just a "stuff happens" plot. Playing through it, I can tell a lot of thought and planning has gone into crafting this gem. It's very polished; I can't really see any obvious flaws.
Actually, even not knowing what is going on and taking the ending as is, offers a nice, creepy chill. While not marketed as Horror, there is horror in this arc -- not a blood and gory horror, but a kafkaesque one.
This story arc was designed to be a puzzle, so some people might find it too obscure for their liking. The third mission is a bit lengthy but nothing that isn't found in a normal CoX mission, and the missions that follow are more rewarding. The mobs in the fourth mission were rather amusing, as are the objectives in the fourth and last mission.
